During the workshop you will learn about the various elements on how to host a Cacao Ceremony, as well as the history of the Cacao Ceremony.  How to create and set a space for holding ceremony.  How to create an energetic container, and hold the space by maintaining your own energy for healing work to take place. How to enable cacao to work through you. You will learn about sound, and learn a special cacao song. You will gain a greater understanding of this sacred medicine, and of yourself.

Nonviolent Communication (NVC)

NVC is a set of communications tools and processes designed to increase understanding between people, and facilitate a greater connection and shared focus on each person’s needs. NVC theory supposes that all human behavior stems from attempts to meet universal human needs. The needs themselves are never in conflict. Rather, conflict arises when strategies for meeting those needs clash.   At its heart is a belief that all human beings have the capacity for compassion and empathy.  Due to its far-reaching impact, NVC has many beneficial "side effects" as a spiritual practice, as a set of values, as parenting best practices, as a tool for social change, as a mediation tool, as an educational orientation, and as a world-view.

Understanding Natural Plant Medicines

Are you interested in using Medicinal Plants for better Health and Well-being but not sure where to begin?
This interactive workshop takes the mystery out of using plantbased medicines. From the simplest preparations to the more complex, you will learn about the different ways therapeutic plants can be used as part of your wellness strategy.
We look at how many types of preparations are made — like teas, tinctures, syrups, compresses and essential oils — how to use them, as well as the benefits of each. With this understanding it becomes easy to choose the right product or preparation for your needs. You will leave empowered with the knowledge to choose well for your own health and even make your own medicines and health care products! The workshop includes demonstrations and samples of local medicinal plants.

Qigong

Qigong (ch‘i kung) is a system of coordinated body posture and movement, breathing, and meditation used for the purposes of health, spirituality, and martial arts training. With roots in Chinese medicine, philosophy, and martial arts, qigong is traditionally viewed as a practice to cultivate and balance qi (chi), translated as "life energy".

Qigong practice typically involves moving meditation, coordinating slow flowing movement, deep rhythmic breathing, and calm meditative state of mind.

Temazcal Ceremony

(Sweat lodge)

An Azteca Temazcal, which means house of hot bath, is a ritual which combines archetypical symbols of the four directions, colors, and elements with a guided and intentional meditation. This is a beautiful experience from the ancestors of Mesoamerica.  Held in a stone, igloo-like structure, Temazcal Ceremonies are designed to cleanse your body and mind of negativities and impurities. Part-sweat lodge/part-sacred ritual, participants have reported feeling physically, emotionally and mentally healthier.

How to Detox Naturally

In this practical and healing workshop we will learn how the ancient holistic systems of Chinese & Ayurvedic medicine define and work with toxins.  We will learn the different ways in which toxins can negatively affect our bodies and how our diet, lifestyle, environment and emotions alter our bodies natural ability to cleanse.  In a fun and explorative way, we will explore different ways to naturally cleanse our bodies, increase our immunity and avoid toxic buildup.  We will move through a group yoga asana sequence which has been used for thousands of years in classical Tantrik yoga to aid in detoxing.  This will be followed by a relaxing 30-minute acupuncture session, classically designed to naturally release toxins that not only influence our body, but our mind and spirit as well.

Permaculture Discussions

Conventional gardening tends to use a one-size-fits-all method for growing food.  It’s based on what gardeners want to grow, rather than on what plants best suit a particular piece of land.  Permaculture is sustainable because the energy required to establish and maintain the system is less than the energy extracted from the system over its lifetime.  In order to get the most from the environment, it has to be nurtured and protected by using earth-friendly farming practices.

Partner Acro

Partner Acro cultivates trust, connection, and playfulness while introducing you to supportive partner stretching, assisted inversions, acrobatic flying transitions, and counterbalance tricks. The practice is incredibly fun and playful while improving fitness, tone, strength, balance, confidence, trust and communication.  It will take you out of your comfort zone, and require that you exercise your trust muscle.

Crystal Workshop

Mantra Workshop

You will learn basic singing techniques, and how to hold group space for singing circles, leading singing, and Kirtan Ceremonies.  You will learn four mantras focused on the Divine Masculine, Divine Feminine, Devotion, and Release. You will learn about mantras and their meanings, how this all works energetically, and how you can bring mantra into your daily practice.

Kirtan Singing

Kirtan is a very different kind of music.  Based on ancient chants that originated in India, it has the ability to quiet the mind if listened to with intention.  The ancient chants contain powerful renewing and transformation energy that helps you reconnect with the Divine that resides within each of us.  Singing is the heart of Kirtan, and no one cares what you sound like.  All voices merge together to become One Voice.
