Tropical Home Gardening and Medicinal Plants
This first level training will prepare participants to begin exploring the traditional health-promoting practices of Latin America, often known as Curanderismo. We will discuss this wellness system’s Indigenous, European, Asian and African roots, philosophy, cultural sustainability, methodology, herbalism, bodywork (sobando), energetic cleansing (limpia), holistic counseling (platica), hydrotherapy, food medicine, ceremony, finding the path to healing, the lessons of disease, creating community and connecting with the sacred through song and ceremony.
Experience the prehistoric origins and vital importance of Plant Medicine Traditions from the Upper Amazon as taught and lived by the Secoya elders for centuries.
