World Surfing Games – Beach Clean-Up
Pura Playa, Jaco, Costa Rica – August 7 – 14, 2016
We are hosting a string of week-long beach clean-ups during the World Surfing Games in Jaco.
The town expects to see thousands of people descend on the beach to enjoy watching the best surfers from around the world compete.
With such an influx of people comes an added pressure on the town to take care of garbage left behind during the event. We plan to help remove waste left at the beach in order to prevent it from entering waterways and degrading ecosystems.
We will meet each day at 2pm by the recycling bins on the beach at the end of the “jaco blu street”.
This is a FREE event, no sleeping or food options are included.
