Permaculture for Gringos
February 28, 2015 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
TEACHER BIO:
Travis Britzke
Dedicating the past 12+ years of my life to personal and planetary wellness has rewarded me with deep insights into the subtle relations between People, Culture, and Nature. Presently, I offer the services of:
- Eco-Holistic Life Design, supporting individuals in creating and enjoying natural, balanced, and fulfilling lifestyles.
- Food-Forest Design and Management, modeling Nature to recreate abundant and resilient ecosystems.
- “NaturaCultura” (Permaculture tailored for Traditional Farming Families) Experiential Learning Activities.
These services integrate my passion and fascination with our relationships between people and plants, especially “wilds/weeds”, hearty perennials, natural medicines, and enhancing the harvest with added energetic and nutritional value (fermenting, sprouting, cooking, etc…). I am very grateful to share knowledge and experience with Indigenous and traditional farming families as we serve in Humanity’s return to an ecologically balanced and deeply fulfilling way of life.
Experiences Include:
10+ years living in tropical communities (Intentional, Indigenous, and/or Subsistence Farming).
o 6 years Managing/Designing Organic Farms & Volunteer/Intern Programs from Guatemala to Bolivia and many points between…
o 3 years Peace Corps Panama Agro-forestry
o 2 years living and working with subsistence farming families
o 3rd year, training and supporting new volunteers, and developing and facilitating training for rural community leaders.
o University Thesis on SocioBiology, Positive Psychology, and Culture of Wellness
o 5 years facilitating Hatha Yoga and Shiatzu-Thai Massage
I’ve also served as social worker with immigrant families, tutor and mentor to “at-risk” youth and peace mediator.
And now as director (God is Director 😉 of ReGenesis, I vow to Minister (“to serve, attend, wait upon”) and Administer (“manage as a steward, to give as medicine”) all available energy and resources ($$ included) to the best of my ability, Transparently (all expenses to be documented and shared openly), towards the ReCreation of Heaven on Mother Earth.
