Mandala Art series – 3 classes – Kate Yorke MFA
Fridays, January 6, 13, 20, from 1 -3
Come to this 3-afternoon workshop and create your own unique mandala. On day one learn the history of Mandalas, and how they are used today, by many different cultures. Begin to create your own mandala drawing, using symbols that have meaning to you. Day two, finalize your drawing and add color (watercolors and colored pencils will be provided).
Day three (optional), create a Mandala painting on a rounded beach rock. (Paints are provided. Collect your own rock from nearby beaches or use one provided).

The Mandala Art series – PART 4 – Bead workshop – Jools Herkate
Learn to bead and spend the afternoon making beaded mandalas that can be used to align the chakras with artist and
master beadworker Jools. These mandalas can have multiple energetic uses, including Chakra balancing.

Kate Yorke MFA
For 20 years Kate has been a part-timer here in the Pacific zone. Currently, she resides on her farm in Platanilo. She grew up in Hollywood, CA but has been living in the northern California town of Mount Shasta for over 40 years. She received her B.A. from U.C. Santa Barbara and years later her MFA from CA.
