Bienestar – Integrative Yoga Teacher Training

January 9 – February 4, 2017

Become a professional yoga teacher or study to deepen your individual practice and understanding of yoga. A 200 hour Yoga Alliance certified yoga teacher training provides a strong foundation for confidently practicing and safely teaching yoga. We will offer you opportunities to make discoveries through self-inquiry and experimentation in connecting to mind, body and spirit. The class provides personal growth opportunities and assists your developing a deeper level of self-awareness.

Bienestar encourages the sacredness of teaching and an understanding of courage we need to teach. To become a teacher is to have been on a journey of learning, to have a deep knowledge of your topic and a great desire to share it with and inspire others.

Anyone can take a yoga teacher training. Yoga Alliance 200 hour criteria covers a broad scope including the 8 limbs of yoga, the physical, the breath, meditative practices, energy systems, philosophy and history, teaching methodology, general anatomy and physiology. Teacher training includes daily yoga practice, lectures, discussions, and personal experiential work. Yoga teacher training requires your attention, focus, practice, inquiry and objectivity.

Ananda Munoz B.A., PT, CMT, CPT, RYT- 200
Practicing yoga since early childhood, first, with 2 years at a guru kula and then continued practice as part of everyday home life has provided the gift of a very strong foundation in yoga. Ananda Muñoz developed an early interest in the body, movement mechanics, and the healing process. She has studied various forms of dance from Modern to African to Ballroom with an ever increasing interest in why injuries occur and the best way to avoid them. She practiced Physical Therapy and Massage Therapy in NY and NJ working with professional athletes in fields ranging from figure skating to football, professional dancers, musicians and singers. She has worked with major corporations (i.e. Unilever, Prudential & Liz Claiborne) as a consultant for ergonomic design of the workspace and the benefits of providing fitness facilities with access to regular massage to employees. She maintains a private practice of clients with diverse needs. Her goal is to help people focus on where they are ‘now’ with their bodies so that they may feel and perform better tomorrow.
