•Class Description:
Gourmet Gringo Cooking Classes are an entertaining and educational experience!  The class will include instruction and practical application of knife skills and food safety, as well as the following menu items:
Appetizers:  Tapenade Zucchini Butter
Salad:  Homemade Salad Dressing over organic greens and vegetables
Entree:  Savory broccoli pancakes topped with grilled calamari and
               Roasted red pepper sauce
               Portabello stuffed chayote
Dessert:  Pumpkin banana bread with vanilla bean glaze

• Teacher Bios:
Ben (Gourmet Gringo) spent more than 30 years in the restaurant industry.  Starting at just 16 years old working in the kitchen of a luxury Muskoka resort in Northern Ontario, Canada,  he found his love for food.  While opening several successful restaurants in Canada and the southern US, Ben was invited to appear on many TV shows such as Good Morning Texas on WFAA, AZ Family TV’s morning show and the popular Breakfast Television in both Toronto and Vancouver to showcase his love for good food and educating audiences across North America.  Ben now caters for small dinner parties and holds cooking classes in the main house at Tree of Life Cabinas, blending world fare with Latin flavors using the fresh products so readily available in Costa Rica.  Nate is his recipe taster and dish washer.

Class size is limited to 6 people maximum.
No alcohol provided – but you are welcome to bring your own.

Tree of Life Cabinas:
VERY easy to find!  Turn at San Martin Sur (the road directly between the Jolly Roger and Villas Alturas roads) and follow up the mountain 2 kilometers.  There are no additional turns.  Tree of Life Cabinas will be on your left, and visible from the road.  Look for the 4 bright blue buildings!
