Escuela Paso de la Danta with Chema Medina

Sustainable Living School

Chema and Marga Medina, founders of Casa Tordesillas (the location of our overnight adventure), also established a local alternative school, El Paso de la Danta. The school's purpose is to empower youth with skills and tools that will help their communities thrive. Chema and Marga teach seminars on regenerative living practices like reforestation, gardening, natural building, carpentry, sewing, horse care, food preparation, arts and crafts, and holistic movement.

Since migrating from Spain around 40 years ago, their main objective has been twofold: to simplify their way of life and minimize their impact on the planet. They believe that true wealth is not about how much you have but how little you need.
